WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR?
If you are looking for a local island surf camp experience & to make friends with local surfers and other surfing guests on the island, you cannot go past Akiri Surf Retreat at Thulusdhoo Island. Akiri surf retreat offers cheap, clean & comfortable accommodation, surf guiding assistance & daily surf transfers to all the North Male Atoll surf spots. Our Maldives Surf Camp Package is best suited to intimidate & experienced surfers who can independently manage themselves in the water. This package is not suited to beginning surfers. ACCOMMODATION
1 x Standard Room at Akiri Surf Retreat – Thulusdhoo Island.
Please note the property is set inside the village of the island & is a 5 minutes walk to the surf. Akiri Surf Retreat offer complimentary wifi & bicycles for their guests.
ABOUT THULUSDHOO ISLAND
Thulusdhoo Island is 30 minutes via speedboat from Velana International Airport & is situated in North Malé Atoll. Thulusdhoo is the most popular surfing island in The Maldives & is also home to Maldives’ best surf breaks – ‘Cokes’ (right) & ‘Chickens’ (left). You have the freedom to surf on your own terms. Simply access ‘Cokes’ by paddling out into the lineup directly from Thulusdhooo Island (5mins walk from Akiri Surf Retreat). To surf Chickens, the Akiri team will drop you across the lagoon to the neighbouring island – a 3min boat transfer ($10pp). Close by to Thulusdhoo are other epic surf spots including Honkeys, Jailbreaks, Sultans, & Ninjas (15-20mins). Hupa Ibrahim (Maldives Surf Photographer) will provide the surf photography session for you. Thulusdhoo has palm tree beaches, white sandy shores and is ideal for snorkeling the house reef. Thulusdhoo is also close to a number of 4 and 5 star resorts, sandbank islands and has two beautiful Bikini Beaches.
ISLAND TRANSFERS
→ Day 1 from Airport to Thulusdhoo: Saturday to Thursday: 9am, 9:30am, 11am, 12pm, 4:30pm or 10pm transfers. Friday’s: 9:30am, 4:30pm and 10pm. (30mins)
← Day 8 Thulusdhoo to Airport: 7:30am, 8am, 10:45am, 2pm, 2:30pm, 6pm or 7:30pm transfers. Friday’s: 7:30am, 8am, 2:30pm, 3pm, 6pm and 7:30pm.
↔ Private speedboat transfer to/from Airport/Thulusdhoo at any time $250 per boat day time & $350 per boat night time.
