Discover Maldives’ smallest & possibly most picturesque atoll, Vaavu. Island hop between the stunning Fulidhoo & Thinadhoo Islands, whilst staying in brand new modern seafront accommodation at two of the best local island hotels in Maldives. Plus enjoy the hassle of having all meals, daily excursions & all speedboat movements co-ordinated for you. The only extras you may consider are upgrading your package by adding additional nights or excursions, or budgeting for the bar boat at Thinadhoo Island.

This itinerary is ideal for those who prefer to travel Maldives independently, yet enjoy the freedom of having a flexible self-guided Maldives vacation itinerary to follow. Snorkelling excursions will take place in a small group settings with highly experienced local guides. Must be confident at swimming.
ACCOMMODATION
3 nights accommodation in a Superior Deluxe Sea View Balcony Room at Luau Beach Hotel, Fulidhoo Island, followed by 3 nights accommodation in an Ocean View Balcony Room at Plumeria Hotel, Thinadhoo Island. Both room categories are the best available at both properties (excluding the suite categories – please enquire). Luau Beach & Plumeria boast the best restaurants on the islands & are perfect for memorable seaside dining experiences.
ABOUT FULIDHOO ISLAND
Fulidhoo Island is one of the best local islands in Maldives for tourists & is located just 1hr or 56km south of Velana International Airport via speedboat. Fulidhoo Island is the first island or most northern island of Vaavu Atoll. Considered a must-see local island for tourists, due to its pristine coloured water & stingrays & nurse sharks cruising the shoreline, Fulidhoo Island is a gateway to some of the country’s best sandbanks, coral gardens, dive sites & Vaavu shipwreck. Fulidhoo is the island in Maldives best known for swimming with (harmless) nurse sharks. It’s a relatively small island complete with an uncrowded bikini beach, hotels dotted along the water front and a jetty where stingrays & nurse sharks like to congregate. There are a handful of small shops & local style cafes on the island.

ABOUT THINADHOO ISLAND
Thinadhoo Island is a teeny & extremely beautiful island located 1.5hrs or 75km south of Velana International Airport via speedboat. With just 75 local residents, Thinadhoo is the smallest island by population in Maldives. The island is popular with tourists due to its calm flat waters, flawless idyllic tropical backdrops & is considered a quiet, upmarket local island. Thinadhoo is a stones throw from the famous Vaavu shipwreck & is situated close by to some of the country’s most stunning uninhabited islands, including Fotteyo & Anbara, perfect for an island style picnic day out. Thinadhoo also has access to a bar boat where you can enjoy a sunset beverage onboard.
ITINERARY
♥ DAY 1: 10am or 4pm 1hr speedboat transfer from Airport to Fulidhoo Island, where you will spend the next 3 nights / 4 days. These are the only daily speedboat transfer times to Fulidhoo Island. Upon your arrival at Fulidhoo Island, a Luau Beach Hotel representative will greet you at Fulidhoo Harbour & assist you with your luggage & transport to the hotel, where you will enjoy a rooftop lunch (morning arrivals). Check into your lovely room at Luau Beach Inn, Fulidhoo Island. Relax or take a walk to familiarise yourself with your new island home! Dinner on the hotel rooftop. If you wish, wander down to the Fulidhoo jetty at dark and watch the stingrays, fish & nurse sharks congregate.
♥ DAY 2: Morning: nurse shark snorkelling trip. Afternoon: lunch & dinner at hotel, plus explore Fulidhoo Island on your own terms.
♥ DAY 3: Morning: Coral garden snorkelling & sandbank excursion. Afternoon: lunch & dinner at hotel, plus & explore Fulidhoo Island on your own terms.
♥ DAY 4: Morning of leisure before 11am, followed by a 20min speedboat transfer to Thinadhoo Island. Luau team to provide assistance to jetty with luggage. Arrive at the stunning Thinadhoo Island & be greeted by Plumeria Team. Settle into your new island abode & enjoy lunch at the hotel with toes in the sand. Spend the afternoon exploring your beautiful new surroundings, doing as little or as much as you please. Bar boat is optional. Dinner at hotel.
♥ DAY 5: Morning: Get ready for a bucket list day in the Maldives – days in the tropics don’t come much better than this! Today you boat off for a half day excursion & picnic lunch at an incredibly picturesque nearby local island… you’ll feel like you’ve stepped foot into a real life postcard! Enjoy an afternoon back at Thinadhoo. Bar boat is optional. Dinner at hotel.
♥ DAY 6: Morning: Today is all about discovering the underwater world of the Vaavu Shipwreck. Snorkel this semi-submerge wooden vessel, teeming with corals & marine life. Lunch & dinner at hotel. Bar boat is optional.
♥ DAY 7: 7am or 1pm speedboat transfer from Thinadhoo to the Airport (only daily speedboat times from Thinadhoo Island) – 1.5hr journey. Standard check out time is 12pm on the day of departure.
