Indulge Maldives partnered with world renowned high-performance surf & surf skate coach, Gee Cormack (Master of Surf Coaching) from CHIX Surf School (Australia) to deliver 2 x 11 day Maldives women’s surf retreats, at Thulusdhoo Island. Maldives Surf Retreat 1: 20th-30th March & Women’s Surf Retreat 2: 2nd-13th of April, 2024.

This was our 4th annual (minus covid) CHIX Surf School women’s surf retreat in Maldives & possibly the dreamiest Maldives surf retreats to date. We were incredibly blessed with very warm water & glassy 2ft-5ft perfect waves all throughout these Maldives surf retreats. Other absolute highlights included rare pilot whale encounters, manta rays, nurse sharks, remote sandbank islands, snorkelling a coral filled shipwreck, Maldivian live music nights & letting our hair down on our annual Club Med Kani all inclusive day trips.

Whilst it was all fun in and out of the water, the predominate focus of these women’s Maldives surf retreats is empowering women’s surf progression and inspiring their personal surfing journey through surf education & ocean well-being. Gee Cormack’s unique and authentic approach to women’s surfing is all about using the art of surfing and the power of the ocean to allow women of all ages to enjoy, learn and reconnect with the water and themselves. Using surf education and ocean wellbeing Gee & assistance coach Millie coach women to progress to any level of surfing, whether it be riding a short board skilfully, dancing on a long board gracefully or just being able to stand up comfortably. Chix Surf School uses a wholistic approach on these surfing retreats for women, allowing women to connect with everything that surfing encompasses, as well as bringing the positive joy of surfing into the every day lives of women.
